Hello spring! Iris versicolor blooming in the MHS back rain garden. Look at the ingenious design of the flower. Pollinators land on the sepal, is directed by the lines and have to crawl under the petals to get the nectar, while brushing against the stigma and stamen inside!

This was a fun activity. We were modeling forming and destruction of tropospheric ozone. “Ozone makers” and “ozone destroyers” in the first round, and “free Cl” (from CFCs) joins in in the second round. ⁦@MetuchenStem⁩
