5.10-11,.2024 - Witnessing an auroral G5 event (max) can be a once in a lifetime bucket list event for many. On this day two years ago, possibly one of the most widely viewed auroral events across the globe occurred the night of May 10 into the 11th 2024. CME's starting on May 7 - eventually totaling an amazing 7 - from the sun's region #3664 contributed to a jaw dropping night of intense auroras reaching into equatorial latitudes. The aurora Always amazes... for me the intense magentas and purples, and then intense blues as dawn fought to shut it all down will be something that I will always remember about this stellar event✨👍✨
