Today, our Youth Engagement Program participants presented their legislative proposals and engaged in meaningful dialogue with Miami-Dade County department directors. Their thoughtful ideas, professionalism, and commitment to civic engagement reflect the promise of the next generation of leaders.
The Youth Engagement Program students visited and learned about PortMiami, one of Miami-Dade’s economic engines. The students enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look of the cargo areas and cruise terminals.
Students in the Youth Engagement Program got a behind-the-scenes look at the important work of the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections Office and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, gaining firsthand insight into how both departments serve the community.
