@Hazencruz @aruurara @AlexyAl1474 There is a fundamental difference between learning art through years of practice to emulate an artist you admire, and feeding their work into an AI to generate near-identical results with no effort. Calling that “fan art” is dishonest.

@medicgordus @aruurara @AlexyAl1474 I’ve read the article, from what I understand, X doesn’t seem to care about real human artists crafting everything by hands but about hybrid AI/human artists who use grok to refine their art and prevent their AI generated images from being used by grok for training.

@Hazencruz @aruurara @AlexyAl1474 AI harms artists’ work by flooding nearly all platforms with low quality AI-generated content, increasingly overshadowing human-made art. It also raises serious and well-known copyright issues.
