Because Dharmendra Pradhan changed a syllabus that had been promoting distorted and misleading narratives for years.

1. Reduced the excessive focus on Mughal history while expanding coverage of other periods of Indian history.

2. Implemented the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, introducing competency-based learning and greater flexibility in education.

3. Added dedicated chapters on the Emergency (1975–77).

4. Increased emphasis on India's civilizational heritage, cultural traditions, and Indian knowledge systems.

5. Added the stories and contributions of Indian heroes, freedom fighters, and military leaders.

6. Expanded coverage of India's modern military achievements.

7. Gave greater importance to regional empires and dynasties such as the Mauryas, Cholas, Marathas, Ahoms, and Satavahanas.

8. Promoted education in mother tongues and regional languages.

People idolising Aurangzeb will never understand this.
