Another beautiful blanket of snow on the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum. The heavy snowfall was the second for this week and makes the site even more beautiful on this winter day.
It has been a blessing and my great honor to serve the citizens of the Chickasaw Nation as Governor. After much prayer, thought and discussion with my family, I have decided it is time to retire and entrust leadership to a new generation of dedicated and capable leaders.
Chet Holmgren says he “couldn’t be more thankful” to be named to the 2025-26 All-Defensive First Team.
“Couldn't be more thankful for any individual recognition that I get. I think we have an All-Defensive Team on our team… We got dudes on this team that show up and go to war on that end every single night.”

Jaylin Williams on how his friendship with Jared McCain came to be.
“I mean, his locker is right next to mine, first off, so I can't avoid him. But he's just a good dude, like he's confident in himself, he's confident in his abilities, he's confident in his own skin. Like he's just a good dude.”

Not entirely sure why Wemby threw his head back like that but surely all the talking heads will dedicate full segments to it.

Robert Duvall played Boo Radley in To Kill A Mockingbird in one of his first roles in 1962. Duvall’s place in the history of cinema can’t be understated- it just can’t. He’s been apart of some of the most important films in the history of this art form. We lost a giant today. RIP
The Beatles' last live performance was their iconic, unannounced rooftop concert on January 30, 1969, at the Apple Corps headquarters in London, where they played for about 42 minutes before police stopped them.
Congratulations to Oklahoma City’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for being named Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year! This honor has been bestowed annually since 1954, and Shai is the first Oklahoman to receive it as the named recipient.
This is also @shaiglalex’s first print @SInow cover and OKC’s first in seven years. (This feat has gotten more difficult since the magazine became a monthly. Of course, OKC has enjoyed digital covers, including one on our Olympic journey just two weeks ago.)

Happy Birthday @MikeCTurpen out of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Turpen served as the chairman of the Oklahoma Democratic Party and as the attorney general of Oklahoma from 1983 to 1987; “I think of Mike as the quintessential Oklahoman. He was raised in Tulsa, he was educated in Oklahoma and he has lived here all his life. And he is kind of the quintessential Oklahoman story because he was raised by a great family, they gave him strong values, strong character, strong support, but not much money. And he had to pretty well make it on his own in that respect.”—Burns Hargis, President of @okstate ; Member @OklahomaHoF ( 2010); 76 Today……
