@James_M_South Since we introduced a more advanced license abuse detection system, 6 out of every 10 license requests has been rejected.
Right now we manually review them, but it’s not sustainable.
If someone claims that devs would never abuse a software license, it’s plainly not true!
The dotnet subreddit is truly a joke. The mods don’t respond to repeated attempts to clarify this.
The last few weeks have seen countless self-promoted posts remain up.
I posted our 12.1 release, and naturally, it’s removed.
There is zero consistency in their moderation.
@Aaronontheweb There’s a guy who posts his AI slop knockoffs of our commercial offerings.
It’s apparently fine for him to post his slop on any day. Avalonia posts get removed though…
The mods don’t respond, and seemingly are heavily selective in their moderation.
Hey @MaximRouiller, I’ve been trying to get clarification from the mods on /dotnet, but I’m getting radio silence.
Have the rules changed on self-promotion?
I ask because the Avalonia v12 post was removed, but I’m seeing a ton of other promotional material that remains up.
@ederbond@davidfowl@aspiredotdev@dotnet@UnoPlatform@AvaloniaUI .NET does have decent native, cross-platform UI frameworks. You just need to get comfortable using a 3rd party solution.
A healthy ecosystem isn’t one where Microsoft builds everything.
@James_M_South@Aaronontheweb I feel you. I was the same and reached breaking point earlier this year. I now don’t even look. Ignorance is truly bliss.
It genuinely isn’t easy to maintain a popular project. If you ever want to chat, I can poor a glass of whisky and jump on a call.
Avalonia 12 support was added to Mapsui 5.1.0-beta.7 🎉We had quite some requests for this.
Can I have some cheers from the Avalonia community?

@AvaloniaUI@MikeCodesDotNET
@CordasFilip@AvaloniaUI > uncomfortably aggressive.
If you're talking about the IDE extension, we show a price and also point people to the community edition. Hardly aggressive.
breaking changes between MAJOR versions. You forgot a word. https://t.co/nqBbcub5Vk
Docs are up to date.
1007 days since we released Avalonia 11.

@wieslawsoltes@nkanauzu@BStebner37961@washi_dev It’s a fact. We shared the evidence and you threatened legal action.
I remember when you deleted your repos because you said people were acting entitled.
This isn’t the first time you’ve thrown a tantrum. This time it’s aimed at us, but your behaviour isn’t new.
