@EWErickson Sometimes losing one election to send a message and hopefully change the direction of a party that used to care is better than a short term win.
@megbasham It depends. Pen Gillette once made the good comment saying "how much do you have to hate someone to not share the gospel with them." He has been commended for that statement, even though he has rejected the gospel. I think you can commend statements without commending the author.
@IhabHassane Ihab, I follow and appreciate you and the awareness you bring to the realities of Palestinians. That said, a word like genocide, regardless of international law, evokes the idea of death and murder. It should not be used "technically" but "emotionally," or it loses its meaning.
@stickyfrogg@IhabHassane True, but if there were any follow through, the claims could be either affirmed or refuted. Part of the issue is that there is zero accountability for this kind of behavior. If you want to hold Palestinians accountable for their radicals, Israel needs to do the same.
@ProfDBernstein Coleman Hughes hosted a good conversation about this on his podcast. The difference is that Israel does not have U.S. military personnel or bases, and it has no control over the conduct of the IDF. People could argue they should all be treated the same.
