So your kid is skipping college.
Cool - so what else can you do for them financially?
529 -> tax advantages, education and trade school flexibility
UTMA -> flexible, child owned, just know at the age of majority it is theirs
Taxable brokerage -> max flexibility, parent controlled, be aware of dividends and cap gains
HYSA -> simple, liquid, taxable interest
Kid has earned income -> custodial Roth IRA
Want strict control -> trust
Every family is different.
But doing nothing is not a plan.
It is my hope, that one day, my outlook messages to prospects and clients do not make it to their spam folders
It's 2026, we can figure this out together
Want to know the best investment that
-potentially has unlimited returns?
-beats inflation by a long shot
-nobody can take away from you?
Here it is
The “S&P” ME
Aka investing in yourself
The experiences you have, the courses you take, the network you grow, the skills you possess and build on every year
Telling someone what to do isn’t advising
Giving someone information is not advising
Advising is working together to identify what’s important and exploring potential effective strategies
Than the experiment of life happens and you re assess, together
The more goals I set and achieve, the more I realize it is not about the goals, but about the process of obtaining them
And that process, should never end
I had a talk with a mentor/good friend about this
Relating to sports there are three goals
1) compete to the best of your ability
2) learn/get better/constantly improve
3) help others
That’s it
Telling someone what to do isn’t advising
Giving someone information is not advising
Advising is working together to identify what’s important and exploring potential effective strategies
Than the experiment of life happens and you re assess, together
I’m finally compliance approved
My plan with this account is to share daily problems we work with clients to solve
And on an unrelated note, share my experiences training (half marathons, jiu jitsu, lifting occasionally, nutrition) as I was once the best coach on the east coast and I still train religiously
Anyway, welcome
Big thank you to @markcecchini for the office hours yesterday. Excited for more. Glad I found a group of like minded individuals on here for the industry
I don’t think there is a single time I have regretted going to Jiu Jitsu
There are plenty days where I really really do not feel like going
But there isn’t a single day, that I have regretted going (minus a day where I get or have gotten injured)
