@SuitableAlias@BrendanCull3 Wrong. You are trying to have your cake and eat it too. Larkin was clearly looking for immediate contenders. You can't want Briere to rebuild, only to get mad when players don't want to join a rebuilding team. Bogus criteria for "failing" and you lose credibility.
@TheFlyersZone To be fair, Tippet is much better without the puck than Michkov. He learned how to use his speed and body to drive play, forecheck, and defend this year. But treating him as anything more than a 2nd-3rd line player is silly.
@Raiderfrank65@ah_pod Fair. I would give him more slack if he wasn't bad in the minors last year too. He's on the roster as a token young player to give the false impression that Dombrowski hasn't done a poor job with the farm system.
@Raiderfrank65@ah_pod Not so sure I would say Painter has a great arm any more, especially when he's 1-6 with 5.74 ERA. Those stats are worse than Nola. He can't get anyone out with his fastball, and none of his secondary pitches are great. He's objectively the worst starter on the team.
@JoshInnesShow I suspect the lead-poisoned boomers who listened to Cataldi have mostly died off. With demographics young enough to not give a shit about Buddy Ryan, I think his insincere schtick has run its course.
@DanTheFlyeraFan@JetEngineOz@cl4udegiroux Sure, in a world where he is a UFA and not a trade target with a NMC. Pretty big difference between UFA Dvorak and under contract Larkin. Team isn't served by trading a ton for a guy who is more of an ideal 2C.
@AndrewGForbes That doesn't mean there was prejudicial bias. The most telling thing is that the case was not appealed. Overturn on appeal scares judges most. If the decision was as egregious & wrong as (non lawyers and emotionally charged) randos on X claim, it likely would have been appealed.
@DanKnightly Weird statement. Doesn't match what I see. You are probably just referring to a select few ppl on X.
To me, young ppl act like he's generational. Most ppl in their 30s and 40s (like me) think he's a really good player with room to grow. Older men vary the most imo
@PhillyPhillyTP@JohnBarchard Reddick very publicly wanted a new contract and to be paid like an elite edge. The Eagles did not want to pay him like that, so he was traded. You can go back and see this reported by credible organizations. Rather than believing an anon account with no evidence or credibility.
@asalciunas975 I think the common thread is that a lot of people just turn off their brains and believe stupid stuff. From believing AJ WASN'T disgruntled to conspiracies about the media "colluding" to get him on the Patriots to massage therapists and car thefts. This saga has always been crazy
@dimauro_seamus@NHLRumourReport Or he plays like a Vezina candidate and the number goes up. That's the whole point of signing earlier. Value can move in both directions.
And if you give up on him, and he turns out better than Zagravin and Bjarnason (who are by no means guaranteed to become great NHL goalies).
