@HJudeBoudreaux@Kristine_Froeba@Will_Nunn Appreciate the s/o! We love working w/ NOLA solopreneurs in a planning capacity. Unfortunately, our financial planning waitlist extends past the 4/18 tax deadline if they need formal advice quickly.
Happy to have a convo/be a resource on what deductions to look for, though!
Don't miss PRC's next “Navigating the HDLC” class at noon on January 19! Tune in to learn how to successfully navigate the HDLC application process in New Orleans’ local historic districts.
The online program is free, but registration is required: https://t.co/6Lh9tKLWj4
@thehannahjmoore Emphasizes the importance of crafting a statement of financial purpose for reference. @behaviorgap | Easy transition to the questions that @jbrendanfrazier listed.
@antirealism@SWBNewOrleans Contested a bill recently. They investigated and credited me half of my bill. I called and requested a hearing as I wasn’t satisfied with the result. Hearing was quick, painless, and over the phone. They credited the rest back to me. Good luck!
@JonLuskin Thanks for this post, Jon! Any reasonable cost managers that you’ve come across for DSTs or Opportunity Zone funds for investors who need the tax incentives but not the headache of direct management?
Pleasure speaking with you @LoriIoannou1 regarding this @WSJ article on investors using Series I Bonds as a savings option to maintain pace with inflation.
TheSeries I savings bond is getting more attention from investors as inflation continues to spike. The attraction: a federally guaranteed instrument with annualized yields of 7.12%. https://t.co/1nY4pwoeFD @WSJ#Bonds#inflation#investing
@MeasureTwiceMNY Reminded me of this general quote that a coach (maybe Belichick?) gave to a reporter critiquing the starters playing late in a pre-season game:
“Tell me which play of the game he is going to get injured on, and I’ll make sure he’s not in there.”

@lady__bost Made tougher by those later in life when compounding returns aren’t as profound. Sometimes to break the emotional barrier, clients need a “kicker” like an investment vehicle that can save them on taxes, today. Start small and build! As @MegBartelt would say: Progress > Perfection
@MegBartelt Client pupdates, which are the best. Ha! Maybe I need to broaden our animal horizon. But "On the Pupbeat" is a tough title to beat for a firm called Upbeat.
@MegBartelt Love this! Was the first thing I rolled out with my firm. No generic market commentary. And of course - pupdates of my dogs and client submissions. Each article crafted around a different beer. Also highlighting individuals/businesses/nonprofits doing great work in the community.
Glad to be a part of this article regarding the unique challenges that business owners face with a few of my colleagues. It is my honor to serve those that are the bedrock of what makes our communities so special.
