The Trail Blazers are now concerned about Portland being a long-term home for their franchise.

Dewayne Hankins, Blazers’ President of Business Operations, said the following at Portland City Hall yesterday:

“The arena is only a small piece of that bigger picture. Portland’s current stagnant business climate, high income taxes, and divisive political environment make this a tough city to invest in. It makes it harder to sell tickets, secure corporate partnerships and recruit players.”

The buzz around a future relocation of the Trail Blazers is only getting louder as renovation negotiations stall out.

I just ended the seasons series I started in 2020 with SPRNG, with a 9 song project called ALT WNTR. I had already dropped WNTR in December but there was a 5 year gap between that and ATMN, it only felt right dropping 2 versions.

PDX economy is in a doom loop. Has been since pandemic (and measure 110 didn’t help city’s rep) Blazers owner Tom Dundon has been harsh/tacky but PDX gone from your quirky, free spirit cousin to a spiraling family member. NBA expansion fees prob only thing keeping them in town.
