Yesterday, First World War soldier Pte Albert Henry Detmold was laid to rest with military honours in France. Joined by family and Canadian and French representatives, he was buried by The North Saskatchewan Regiment.
On June 19, 442 Transport and Rescue Squadron responded to a medical emergency aboard a cruise ship 70 km south of Brooks Peninsula, B.C. Two SAR Techs were lowered onto the vessel, and the patient was safely evacuated by CH-149 Cormorant to Victoria.
