@mario_mazzer Bleach isn’t about self-acceptance. It’s about deception and perception.
Aizen deceives everyone, Gin deceives Aizen, and Old Man Zangetsu deceives Ichigo.
Power comes from controlling truth; self-acceptance is just the result.
If he truly released everything, the logical result would be fusion, not guns and a coat.
His release is incomplete by nature, similar to Ichigo’s “fake” Bankai.
Starrk wasn’t just #1 — he was #1 while never being whole.
Another thing people ignore: Starrk’s Resurrección never actually returns him to what he once was.
Resurrección is meant to bring an Arrancar closer to their original Hollow state — but Starrk’s original form was a single being, not him + Lilynette.
Starrk was #1 because his baseline existence was lethal to other Hollows. He fought multiple captain-level opponents at once while holding back — something Ulquiorra never demonstrates.
Segunda Etapa makes Ulquiorra unique, not secretly the strongest.
“ Aizen never saw it ” ≠ “ Aizen didn’t know.”
Aizen created the Espada, measured their limits, and planned around their ceilings. He doesn’t need to watch a transformation to know how much reiatsu you can output.
They rely on fixed conditions, enforced outcomes, and the acceptance of an established order. Ichigo doesn’t bend to systems or beliefs; he chooses his own resolve, and reality is forced to follow.
I was just rewatching Thousand-Year Blood War and remembered Ichigo has Quincy blood.
Now I’m wondering… if he had been granted a Schrift, what would it have been?
Personally, I think his Schrift would be R- The Refusal.
What letter fits him best? 👀👇

Anything that requires faith in destiny, divine order, or absolute rules would fail to fully take hold against him. That’s why abilities like Uryū’s Antithesis, Askin’s Deathdealing, and Jugram’s Balance wouldn’t function properly on Ichigo.
