@technoleviathan I just went through the process to enroll my kid in mandarin immersion school so got a good sense of the demand in sf for it.

also lots of chinese speakers who are ai-pilled. prob the same could be said for other languages too!

i keep telling people, if you want to start the next hot school in SF, start alpha school + mandarin immersion.

in the morning do regular alpha school (in english) plus a chinese class. then in the afternoon do all the regular extra curricular and life skills stuff but all in chinese.

charge 100k and it’d still get the chinese/chinese-adjacent families at all the big labs.

imo one of the benefits of immersion schools, and the only way they have a chance of working, is that the kids’ primary peer group is all doing it. as opposed to it being a weird, extra thing the kid is required to do.

i spent most of my childhood going to saturday chinese school and hated it.

they're similar and composable! two ways to use AI Gateway:
1. call models + pay through Cloudflare
2. BYOK and use it purely for platform features — observability, caching, guardrails, DLP, and more

e.g. use your OpenRouter key to run OpenRouter models through AIG and get all the platform features on top.
