We have just sent a little donation to Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue for little Bert who is recovering from colic. If anyone has a spare ยฃ1 or 2 I know they will be very grateful https://t.co/Gpt2PQmwOC
A message from our Chair Chris Loughran and CEO Rhiannon Hiles:
We want to acknowledge what has happened in our region over the weekend and in recent days. It shows how much we all have to do, and work on together and we stand by all of the communities affected. (1/2)
Yes, Marley is a 'working' pony, but if I were to break down his weekly schedule, there would be no doubt the biggest percentage of his time is spent eating!! He gets to graze (and roll about) in some amazing places... not just his field and our back garden!
There's a saying that 'Quality is remembered long after the cost is forgotten' I keep this in mind when I'm sourcing anything for our ponies. They get the best I can find, regardless of how much our profit margin is reduced. We only work with clients who have the same outlook!
Where the sky meets the sea! ๐ซ๏ธ๐
We were at beautiful @Bamburgh_Castle today. Marley's eaten his own weight in grass, been groomed, walked, photographed, & made hootprints with the children. So many families commented on his calm nature & healthy condition, which was lovely! <3
The great British 'Summer' strikes again! We were up and out bright and early to get Marley prepped for his appearance at Bamburgh Castle today, but the weather had other ideas. We will try again in 2 week's time. ๐คfor โ๏ธ
Marley's had a wonderful #BankHolidayMonday at @Bamburgh_Castle
He LOVES the 'Bamburgh Grass Buffet' but today he was fed a juicy apple from the ladies, who wanted to treat him for his birthday....talk about being a spoiled boy....but you only turn 16 years old once right?! ๐
Amazing first time at Pride today! Got to spend time with some wonderful people, and got to represent the museum I love too ๐ณ๏ธโ๐๐ณ๏ธโโง๏ธ
Our Marley went to visit his friends at Little Treasures Autism Charity a couple of weeks ago. Amazing to see the children's confidence grow before your eyes....To start off being nervous to even come beside a real pony to the sense of achievement when they take him for a walk!
@Beamish_Museum -a great place to work, where everyone is accepted for who they are! Marley may work there as a 'Pit Pony' but he's also worked with @stuarthattonjr as a 'Prosecco Pony' - that's the beauty of being able to enjoy life without limiting your creativity or identity!
๐ณ๏ธโ๐Ahead of Beamish attending @Durham_Pride this weekend (Sunday, 26th May), the museumโs Chair Chris Loughran has written a blog post about why he is proud to be taking part in Durham Pride.๐ณ๏ธโ๐
