I keep getting asked a question I refuse to answer. “How are you going to avoid the backlash that the #metoo movement received?”

I reject the premise of the question because:

1) It assumes this is a separate and unconnected movement that is not built on the foundation laid by the organizers who came before us

2) It suggests that the backlash is the fault of the organizers, not the misogynistic institutions desperately trying to hold on to the status quo.
