ओलंपिक पदक विजेता मीराबाई चानू ग्लासगो में होने वाले कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स 2026 में भारतीय भारोत्तोलन टीम की अगुवाई करेंगी।

दो बार की कॉमनवेल्थ चैंपियन चानू महिलाओं की 48 किग्रा श्रेणी में हिस्सा लेंगी। 31 वर्षीय चानू ने गोल्ड कोस्ट 2018 और बर्मिंघम 2022 में स्वर्ण तथा ग्लासगो 2014 में रजत पदक जीतकर देश को गौरवान्वित किया है। टोक्यो ओलंपिक की रजत पदक विजेता चानू चोट से उबरने के बाद वापसी कर रही हैं। उनके साथ बिंद्यारानी देवी और हरजिंदर कौर भी टीम का हिस्सा होंगी, जबकि पुरुष वर्ग में लवप्रीत सिंह सहित कई खिलाड़ी भारतीय चुनौती पेश करेंगे। CWG 2026 में भारोत्तोलन मुकाबले 26 से 30 जुलाई तक ग्लासगो में होंगे।
