I’m in the McDonald’s drive-thru today and the young cashier who ALWAYS greets me with the sweetest energy opened the window looking completely defeated. 🥺 I asked if she was okay and she quietly said, “It’s just not a good day.” I didn’t ask questions, just told her I hoped it got better and pulled off. But something in my heart wouldn’t let me leave it there, so I went to the store, grabbed some roses, came BACK, skipped the speaker and pulled straight to her window. 🌹😭 I handed them to her and said, “I don’t know what you’re going through, but I wanted you to know “I” noticed.” 🥺Whoever her parents are, they raised a beautiful young lady because she’s always so kind to me, and today I just wanted to pour some of that kindness back into HER. Sometimes you don’t need to know somebody’s story to show them love. Good people need somebody to be good to them too. ❤️🌹
My favourite quote of all time was a statement Van Gogh made to his brother in a letter, that ‘ If I am worth anything later, I am worth something now. For wheat is wheat, even if people think it's grass in the beginning ‘.
Our worth is inherent and unchangeable, whether people see it or not. So keep doing you. Your people will get you.
A teacher told his shy student that if he picked the blank paper, he'd give the whole class 100s on their exam, but the one thing the students didn't know was that both papers were blank.
🧠⚡ AuDHD makes me a living paradox: fast thinker, slow processor. Craving stimulation, needing calm. Wannabe social, desperate for alone time. Hyperfocused yet distracted. Overflowing with ideas, but struggling to start. 🥴
I felt Miley Cyrus when she said:
"I didn't talk badly about you. I talked about what you did to me. If that makes you look bad, that's between you and your behavior. Because telling the truth about my experience isn't bitterness. It's clarity. And I'm not responsible for protecting someone's image when they had no problem damaging my peace."
Sometimes the truth only sounds harsh because someone benefited from the silence
“ME/CFS patients are similar to a critically ill patient 24 hours before they die, except they live like that for years and years.”

@WATCHHOLLIE With the utmost sincerity, I love the content you’ve been creating, specially posts like this. They’re a gentle yet sweet reminder of time and its potential when framed the right way.
Healthy/abled people often don’t understand that sometimes the question when it comes to our abilities isn’t “can I do this?” It’s “can I do this without major consequences”
Doctors like this should lose their license. IDFC HOW LONG YOU STUDIED, if you can’t show decency for someone who is struggling, then you don’t need to be in medicine.
It makes me so mad when I go on Reddit and see doctors and health care workers bashing those with chronic illness.
Calling us mentally ill. Saying we’re faking. Mocking our diagnoses. Acting like we want to be sick.
These are actual comments from medical professionals discussing patients with POTS, EDS, MCAS, ME/CFS, and other complex chronic illnesses 😡
“MCAS is one of the most frustrating new age fake diseases… absolutely insane patients that need a psych consult more than a medicine patient.”
“No, these people are lying. It is part of the EDS/POTS/dysautonomia psychogenic illness cluster. They are almost always self diagnosed after learning about those disorders on social media.”
“Most of these patients suffered a post viral illness… then instead of getting out of bed and shaking it off they just plugged into the online echo chambers and stayed in bed. Forever.”
“When I read EDS and POTS in the same history, I know what I’m in for.”
“POTS, EDS, MCAS, and don’t forget gastroparesis. They all need feeding tubes and central lines and opiates and benzos are the only thing that helps. It’s mostly young women and, from what I’ve seen, a lot of them start out with eating disorders.”
“ I find these types of patients incredibly annoying.”
“ It’s all part of the sicktok trend.”
“The people with MCAS need psychiatry, not a medical doctor for their problems.”
“Each one is trying to outdo the other in the ‘who’s the most ill’ game.”
“In psych, the unholy TikTok triad is DID, autism, and Tourette’s. … Many of them ask to be worked up for EDS, POTS, and MCAS. Blue hair is a frequent marker. The underlying diagnosis is almost always borderline personality disorder.”
“It was fibromyalgia. Then it was chronic Lyme. Now we see MCAS, EDS, dysautonomia, POTS.”
“POTS patients can be fucking exhausting. They’re putting ports in a lot of them now for their fluids… You are a fucking 21 yo with good veins, why the fuck are you trying to bully me into sticking a port?”
“I refuse to see these people.”
If you’re a doctor or medical professional reading this, these comments aren’t harmless.
You don’t have to understand every illness but you do have to treat your patients like human beings.
We do NOT want to be sick.
Okay I’ll say it, pvp or pve, it doesn’t matter which one we play. At the end of the day we’re all just a bunch of fucking nerds playing video games. Not one side is “better” than the other. 🤣#escapefromtarkov
