This is how we #neverforget. I really love teaching about 9/11. I was my students’ age when it happened and I still remember it clear as day. We chose to focus on the #heroes of that day. Students were engaged and soaking up every bit of it.

@MissDesenberg @kelsssssiiiii When I moved 2 yrs ago at the end of the year I asked my students to write letters to my new students telling them about the class & giving them advice. So many smiles, laughter, and even tears seeing in black & white their thoughts of me! Love rereading!

Great keynote speaker! Enjoying @smventura! Big takeaway.... homework only has a 21% chance of making a difference! If students can do your homework, they don’t need it. If homework is being sent home and students can’t do it...it’s not effective. Homework is an equity issue!

Something I started from day 1 is my Smile File. I use it when I need a pick-me-up bc I’m feeling defeated as a teacher. I keep kind words from parents & students.
