BREAKING : Spanish 🇪🇸 MEP Irene Montero took Trump to cleaners and said
"Those who started war should send their sons and own people at front line. We in Spain want our kids and people safe at home" 🔥
This is one of the sanest speeches 🫡
“Its absolutely outrageous our PM puts out a statement that condemns Iran for a retaliatory attack as opposed to Israel & America that started the bombing in the first place"
Zach Polanski is spot on!
So let me get this right.
The US can find and kill a leader of a foreign country halfway around the world.
But they can't find any of the paedophiles and child traffickers from the Epstein list and arrest any of them in their own country?
If your child becomes a reader, about 80% of the education job is already done. That's my honest assessment after working in education for over thirty years. Everything else is secondary. Most parents think science education is important. Yes it is. But if you can't read the biology textbook, you're not going to learn biology.
Reading is the meta-skill that enables all other skills. History requires reading. Science requires reading. Even math increasingly requires reading as it becomes more sophisticated. The child who reads voraciously will figure out everything else. The child who doesn't will struggle with everything.
I don’t suppose anyone has an up to date recommended reads list for KS3/KS4 before I make one? I am running reading support for parents on Monday so would love to hand these out. I have found a dyslexia friendly list already. Any help would be appreciated @TeamEnglishNC
The Far Right Christian Nationalists buying Afghan Rice Bowls, one of the predominant refugee Nationalities. Strong likelihood this business was set up by a hard working Refugee.
Hello #teamenglish#eduqas I am starting a new school after half term that teaches Eduqas Lit. They study Macbeth, AIC and ACC. I have taught all these texts before but only for AQA. Is there anyone who has any advice on how the exam board/ mark scheme is different? Thank you!
@leytonorientfc so have a spare ticket going for tomorrow as my better half is ill. £70 ticket at face value. Block 105. Might have to sit next to us like but still. Let me know if interested. I’ll be asking Orient questions to make sure not a Char…. Fan 😂
I have been asked last minute to do a World Book Day assembly for year group assemblies in my secondary school this week. I don’t suppose anyone would be generous enough to share one they have? Thanks in advance #teamenglish
We currently run Communication lessons to Year 7 students. This is basically Oracy using the @voice21oracy framework. I would like to develop these lessons to support whole school. Can anyone recommend any books that I could buy? @Team_English1#teamenglish
I am considering applying to be an examiner this year as I only teach one other class bar Year 11s ( English and Media) so will have lots of gain time and 'free' evenings. If I apply for Lit do you mark essays of texts you haven't studied/ taught?
Currently have a girl in Year 11 that will not study ACC due to religious reasons so has been self teaching TSOF. No one in our school has any expertise with this text as we all teach ACC. Does anyone have any revision resources to help with this text? Thank you in advance
There was a brilliant article once on TES that supported writing thesis statements for literature. Does anyone have a link to this/ offer other sources I could use to run a CPD session in a department meeting?
@engMissDavies@AlexJQuigley I honestly think it is reading ages. Everyone that didn’t get a grade 4 in language in our school had a reading age of below 12 years old and we only had a 64% pass rate which is a lot of pupils. Our cohort had the lowest average reading age we’ve ever had
