@AlistairTDL@Steal_your_shit Yeah, almost like the writers/game devs wanted a very obvious way to show the players the clans are hypocritical which a lot of people still don’t get
@HannahDCox@ASFleischman The entire conceit underlying people getting angry at these laws being followed as written is that many of the bills’ proponents envisioned these laws as being only selectively enforced from the start
@SimplyShae13 Also let’s be clear: ultimately, minors don’t consent to any type of medical treatment, their parents/guardians do. Yes, often in consultation with the minor. But like, if a kid says “mom I’m scared about chemo and don’t want it” but mom consents, it’s happening
@SCHIZO_FREQ@halogen1048576 TBF, instapots with timer features to both start cooking and keep cooked food warm have rendered crock pots obsolete, since they can do that also. You can even sear on them! It’s actually never been easier for people with little time to have hot food.
@ok_post_guy I think this discourse is only revealing that Taylor’s family seldom cooked while she was growing up, she doesn’t realize she had a family/circle of friends wealthy enough to get a lot of delivery, and assumes that poor individuals must be getting food in the same manner she did.
@ozymustdie Lore wise it can be justified in that they were both hooked up to the Basilisk and each other and thus V and Panam experienced it both through each others senses as well as the Basilisks internal cameras and sensors.
@TheOmniLiberal I’ll add the graph at the center of this makes no claims/has no breakdown of how various income levels in each generation spend. I highly doubt actually poor/impoverished zoomer/millennials are driving the delivery service app spending.
@DietCoke_Esq By “illiterate” and “reads at third grade level” do you mean just at that level for literally reading written words or that her general intellectual comprehension is also at third grade level?
@IlyaSomin On that note, arguably the Meiji Restoration was ultimately even better for former samurai class members than it was for the ordinary Japanese.
@TrueNorthish@ASFleischman Only time I’ve seen this in a criminal case is when a prosecutor royally fucked up and never actually introduced evidence regarding an essential element of the crime.
