LOL! And all the time between 62-70 has to be made up before you even break even. And if you don’t “need” it you’re still ahead if you invest it. $2k/month x12 months x8 years is $192k. Say you earn just 5% on that $192k over 8 years, that’s $9,600 more. If at 70 you draw $3k/month it would take you until age 76 just to break even! Cash flow is better than waiting because you can do anything you want with your money. At 76 you’re taking mandatory withdrawals from investments. Spend down plan much. Do math more!

I get my Social Security deposit on the 4th Wednesday of every month. I checked my account this morning and since I turn 65 this month, they deducted $203 for Medicare.

So my question is this:

Why is the government charging me for something that I already spent my whole adult life paying for?
