Yesterday at @PubKey during his press interview, I asked @NassauExec two questions beyond his commitment to eliminating the BitLicense once he becomes governor.
1) Should crypto be treated like money instead of a stock? So NYers don’t have to calculate and pay NY capital gains tax every time they use it in commerce for reasonable amounts.
2) Should crypto ultimately be treated like cash, applying existing cash regulations rather than adding a new layer of regs for crypto? Especially big news for cash-like cryptos like Monero.
This is huge!!! Eliminating the Bitlicense and treating crypto like money in NY! As it should be!!
