King Midas was a legendary king from Greek mythology, known for his golden touch. Anything he touched turned to gold, which was a gift from the gods that backfired when he couldn’t eat or drink. He also had donkey ears as punishment for judging a music contest wrong. Classic cautionary tale about greed.
This is how our new Governor General presented herself for her swearing-in ceremony.
A baggy shirt, creaseless pants, and black boots. No respect for the position.
Any ordinary Canadian picked for the job would have dressed better.

15 Christian teachers charged (9 convicted) of sexual abuse at Newfoundland orphanage.

You love other peoples pain.
You are the problem.
FAITH is a good thing.
FAMILY is a good thing.
FREEDOM is a good thing.
The real question is why some politicians and media commentators are so determined to attack these values.
If believing in faith, family, and freedom is now considered controversial, perhaps those attacking them should take a look in the mirror.
British Columbians are tired of being told that the values held by millions of ordinary people are somehow extreme.
