This is genuinely worrying.
I've gone on the record on a number of occasions to acknowledge @AndyBurnhamGM's real bipartisan strengths. I've admired him since we 'teamed up' (@ConHome and him) to unsuccessfully oppose the disastrous Lansley NhS reforms. He was more interested in principle than party then and I still see so much of that in him today.
But there is no money left! We have no operable military. The young need affordable housing and the private sector won't supply enough of it. We need radical welfare reform (which won't save money in the short-term). A higher tax burden will accelerate Rachel Reeves' brain drain. Sending billions to any other causes is completely unaffordable. Is Andy Burnham serious? I'm very concerned.

Earlier I attended a Makerfield hustings event hosted by @MENnewsdesk, in which Burnham said: “I stick by campaigners that I support. I stuck by the Hillsborough families, I’ll stick by the Waspi women because they deserve some recompense for the unfairness.”

Stressing he wouldn’t ditch his longterm support for Waspi women, he said he felt “uncomfortable” that some politicians threw their support behind a cause but then went into government and “didn’t do anything”

Listening to @EvanHD and Radio 4 PM is much more worried about the reaction to the attempted beheading in Northern Ireland than the incident itself. I would say it's unbelievable but it isn't. It's completely predictable. We're meant to quietly resign ourselves to what's happened to our country. I feel "cold rage".

We are an island with a long and proud history, 47 years of which were spent in a club called the European Union, which we have now left.

The sky has not fallen in. By all means, smooth some of the frictions.

But a plea to Starmer or whoever comes next: for the sake of serious government, Brexit cannot continue to be your lazy bogeyman.

And without slowing global warming at all. In fact - by exporting pottery and other British manufacturing industry to countries and regions with dirtier pollution regimes - we have almost certainly increased global warming while losing our industrial capacity. National economic suicide. Well done Ed Miliband and everyone else with their fingerprints on our green policies.
