#OnMyWalk to a great catch up dinner at Beverly Hills Hotel with some of my oldest friends in LA, director Alan J Levi, actress Sondra Currie & producer Pierre David. So good to see them & talk about the old days…and the NEW days!! So many changes in our biz! Mask on table💗🌷💗
“Why do you wear a mask all the time, isn’t it time to move on?”
1. We can’t move on from reality.
2. Covid pandemic is still active.
3. Even if Covid disappeared, I’d still mask in certain situations (hospitals, airplanes etc) from now on.
4. I have been sick just 1 day in the last 6 years. I enjoy not being sick.
5. Long Covid can ruin your life.
6. Covid can damage the heart, brain, bones, immune system, lungs, reproduction, of anyone who catches it.
7. I like being alive and able to do things.
8. I appreciate and believe in those who have shared how damaging Covid can be, and to not try to avoid it would feel disrespectful.
9. The silence of our governments on the topic worries me. If Covid was no big deal they would educate us on it, so their silence concerns me.

And he appears to leave the door WIDE OPEN to giving taxpayer money to convicted Jan 6 cop beaters
Van Hollen: "Reopening the Strait of Hormuz is necessary in order for us to win, right?"
Hegseth: "You asked me what the overarching objective is, and I would say ensuring Iran never has a nuclear weapon."
Van Hollen: "You said after Midnight Hammer, 'Our bombing campaign obliterated Iran's ability to create nuclear weapons.' Clearly that is not the case based on your testimony today. It's also a fact that the DNI Tulsi Gabbard testified in front of the Intelligence Committee that it was our assessment that Iran did not intend to restart its nuclear program. The President of the United States just about a week ago said Iran has committed not to develop a nuclear weapon."
As a reminder, Pete Hegseth was pushed out of TWO veterans nonprofits amid financial mismanagement allegations, running groups into debt, overspending on parties/events, and treating funds like personal accounts.
Now, he has just about bankrupted the Pentagon despite a record budget and is demanding another $1.5 trillion.

The county circled on the right (Hardin) has COVlD wastewater levels higher than the national average during the peak of BA.1. Omicron.
The one on the left is Harris county (Houston), and all of their data are at least 1-2 weeks behind, on top of the usual 1-week lag.
Holy shit! Sen. Peters had enough of Hegseth’s bullshit.
Imagine asking taxpayers for billions more during an “utter and complete failure” of a war.
Closed shipping lanes. Billions already spent. American lives lost. More service members injured. Still no accountability. Still no clear plan.
When Hegseth couldn’t defend it, he acted like criticizing the strategy was insulting the troops.
Peters called him out.
The New York City Bar Association has issued a letter to the Senate Judiciary Committee opposing the nomination of acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.
Addressed to Senators Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Dick Durbin (D-N.Y.), the letter asserts that, “Mr. Blanche has taken actions that we believe make him unfit to lead an ethical and independent department of justice that is essential to our nation’s democracy.”
“The Attorney General personifies for Americans our commitment to the rule of law and equal justice under the law. Todd Blanche fails to meet this standard,” the letter later continued.

This is an observation that should terrify every person that walks this earth.
We have seen AI used already to influence politics. Once intimacy becomes part of the propaganda equation, then propaganda takes on a whole new power dimension.
My thanks to Yuval Noah Harari for the clip.

A simple nasal drop may defeat one of the most aggressive brain cancers.
Glioblastoma remains one of the most aggressive and lethal forms of brain cancer, with a five-year survival rate of just 6.9%. Yet a promising new treatment strategy is raising hopes for dramatically better outcomes.
An international team from Washington University in St. Louis and the University of Electro-Communications in Japan has pioneered a noninvasive way to deliver immunotherapy directly to the brain—using simple nasal drops.
The difficulty in treating glioblastoma has always been the blood-brain barrier and the tumor’s ability to suppress immune attack. Past efforts to stimulate the immune system with STING agonists either required invasive brain surgery or failed because the drugs degraded too quickly.
The researchers solved both problems by re-engineering STING-activating molecules into “spherical nucleic acids” clustered around tiny gold nanoparticles. This structure protects the drug, allows it to travel through the nose-to-brain pathway, and keeps it active much longer.
When administered as nasal drops in mice with glioblastoma, the treatment successfully triggered powerful anti-tumor immune responses and significantly slowed tumor growth.
Beyond glioblastoma, this platform could potentially help treat other cancers that resist immunotherapy. Although human trials are still years away, combining these nasal drops with existing checkpoint inhibitors might one day produce lasting immunity against the disease.
This elegant, patient-friendly approach represents a major advance in overcoming the brain’s natural defenses—bringing renewed optimism to a field where truly effective treatments have remained elusive for decades.

Perhaps, laissez faire masking policies are woefully inadequate? 😷
WOW!
"Kansas Republicans wrote a law built to throw out valid ballots. Gov. Laura Kelly vetoed it, warning it would disenfranchise voters. But the GOP overrode her and passed it anyway.
This week, a judge threw it all out.
The law was cruel and simple: any mail ballot arriving after 7 pm on Election Day got tossed. Gone—even if the postmark proved you sent it on time, or if the post office was the one running late.
On Thursday, Douglas County Judge Carl Folsom III blocked it statewide.
In November 2024 alone, this law would’ve thrown out more than 2,100 real ballots. In one March election under the rule, one in 30 mail votes got rejected.
And the hypocrisy is immeasurable. The Republican now fighting to kill the three-day grace period, AG Kris Kobach, is the same person who championed it back in 2017.
The state’s primary is only weeks away. And for now, every ballot still counts."
