It never was about protecting the kids.

The ultimate goal of it all is the eradication of internet anonymity, as well as the policing of thoughts not approved by the government.

Digital IDs are a slippery slope towards restricting internet access for people posting thoughts the government doesn't approve of.
Once every service is gated behind face scans and you need a digital ID to access the internet - any thought that isn’t government-approved, aka independent or controversial, will get you flagged and put on a list.

And as every service will require a digital ID, being flagged means you’ll be blocked from going online before they throw you in jail - just because you posted something the government doesn't approve of. Just like it has been happening in the UK to people who mentioned the grooming gangs.

every centralised giant blinks, they rely on on-call humans and scheduled downtime.

but ethereum never stops, not through forks, crashes, bubbles, lawsuits, hacks, wars, and every kind of drama the internet can throw at it.

and it’s not thanks to a CEO or a hotline.
it’s not because someone saved it.

it’s because we all did.

devs, stakers, researchers, users,
millions of us, scattered across the world, choosing to show up, block after block, year after year.

while banks fail, clouds go dark and servers get patched, ethereum keeps going.

we keep going.
