Hello everyone. As of today, the form for unclaimed/burned tortilla is now closed.
In total, there were 1.17M tortilla that needed to be given out in refunds, a total value of 13.4k USD.
Rather than minting tortilla out of thin air to pay these out (and increasing supply) - I have paid these refunds out of my own personal funds from what I had in LP.
If you had a valid claim and submitted through the form, you should have received your tortilla via this airdrop tx: https://t.co/SKn9oINVHK
It is with great joy and nostalgia I announce that today is the end of the TacoClicker game.
TORTILLA can now longer be minted through the @tacoclickerbtc website or through any taquerias.
I have gone ahead and removed the auth alkane from the Taco Clicker contract in the following tx, removing the ability for the game to create new TORTILLA: https://t.co/Fmfazic8O9
To everyone that played tacoclicker, thank you! I had a very fun time making it, participating in the salsa blocks and helping come up with strategies for how to upgrade your taquerias I hope I was able to share some of that joy with you guys aswell.
Tacoclicker was the first programmable defi game on Bitcoin. It was truly historic.
This isnt the end however. There is lots of stuff coming ahead for the TORTILLA token with @pizzadotfunbtc , specifically - the upcoming TORILLA/frBTC -> CHEESE vault - so keep an eye out for that as I will be releasing it pretty soon now.
Thank you!
Theres not much intelligent conversation going on there. Currently they want to move away from sha256 through a new fork cuz they are unable mine a single block with the current difficulty Lukechain is stuck in.
Thereโs also discussions of manually lowering the difficulty in knots code.
@Decentralizd If youโre a whale and read this message, if you lend me 1000 btc for 1 block Iโll pay you 1k usd. Iโll send it back next block.
Trying something.

Furthermore, the mint authority of TORTILLA has been fully removed. The supply is guaranteed to never increase again from here on out. The tx of me revoking my mint authority can be found here:

honestly I think the biggest reason people don't try Alkanes is just getting onto Bitcoin in the first place.
so we made that a non-issue. there's now a bridge inside Alkanex: send ETH, SOL, USDC, whatever, from Base, SOL, BSC, etc... and native Bitcoin lands in your wallet ready to trade. usually 15-30 min, you send straight to the bridge.
that "first go get BTC" step was the main thing keeping people out. now it's gone.
if you've never tried it, it's a tg bot, trade alkanes in a couple taps. getting more people into Alkanes is the whole point
