@lavie_encode I think the more effort it takes to make progress in a game, the more addictive it is. If I’ve spent hours grinding to accomplish the next thing, it feels like a much bigger win than something I can do effortlessly. Also, always having the next challenge be just out of reach.

@feliciaday Once, in high school, my mom bleached just the front of her hair for “subtle highlights”, but they accidentally turned bright red. She was mortified, until a few weeks later when everyone at school started copying her “look”. One person’s hair mishap is another’s trend. 🙂
