It’s a lot easier taking penalties when there’s no pressure 😭 Still work to do before the season starts, but I’m mindful we are missing about 10 players, with 8 of them back this week. I like the look of Tzolis when he’s in dangerous areas, but we most definitely need a defender, another left winger, and a striker. We also need the likes of Jesus, Vieira, Nelson etc sold.
First game back at the Emirates today since winning the league, and I'm bloody excited. Great opportunity to take the kids to a game too. Hopefully get to see Bruno for the first time. He should get some minutes, even if it's from the bench.
@paulharris1971 Come on, mate. You were never going to compete for the PL and CL, and that's what he wanted. He already has one and has nearly secured the other. I'm not talking about all fans, just the ones I hear whenever we play you or those I see online.
When I see how loads of West Ham and Newcastle fans treat Rice and Bruno, it makes me appreciate Palace even more for how they treat Eze.
Neither of them deserves abuse, they ain't players who refused to play and mug the club off, or left for money. It's not an Isak, RVP, Nasri type of departure for example.
They were loyal until the end. They should be recognised as one of the best their club has ever had.
That's factually incorrect. He had recently won the league unbeaten and we were in the Champions League final. He left because he was greedy, which was well documented in his book. He also went behind the club's back, having secret meetings. You can't even compare the transfers, they are totally different.
I don't want Romero because I think he's a liability, but it would be hilarious to take their captain again. I was at WHL when Sol went back there for the first time, and it was the most daunting walk I’ve ever had there. Not sure it would ever be on that level again because their new stadium doesn't have that long walk to the ground. But again, it would be hilarious just to piss them off.
@Dannylee20 I wouldn't have a clue what they do. I can only go by my own experience. We now go to Northumberland Park station and it's a short, easy walk to the ground. Nothing like it used to be.
