A5: a student who was on the verge of dropping out at the end of 10th grade, remained in the program, graduated and now runs his own film production business. He’s hired at least 5 or 6 of his classmates from the Academy and has even brought on interns from the program #lvchat

A4: Honestly, there just isn’t a one size fits all trick that I’ve found works. The closest thing I’ve found is a combination of one on one focus within a hands on project. The focus is the critical part. Making sure a student feels they are seen, heard and important. #lvchat

@AshleyLVUSD There’s only one film produced. It’s a professional level short film of 15 - 20 minutes in length. Each student has one or more roles in this collaborative project. The film is show at the premier. This year’s premier is on June 5th. . . If they make the final cut! ;-) #lvchat

My favorite is always the senior capstone short film project. It’s an all class, all year long project. The students run everything from writing the script, through fundraising, PR and marketing to the production, post and premiere. #lvchat
