@glefrancoisLP Comme dans le bon vieux temps des Devils de Jacques Lemaire! Regroup-trappe-regroup-trappe devant les bancs pendant 59 minutes et ça finit avec un blanchissage pour Martin
@BWildeMTL Dude just knows how to play. Smart, extremely adaptable, mentally tough. Not sure I’ve ever seen a prospect go from cut/ignored/afterthought to the top line at seemingly every level. It’s a great story!
@JesseGranger_ What’s crazy to me is the last half-push with his left leg almost completely extended (and his hands, especially the glove, kinda behind him). Do not try this at home!
@AndrewBerkshire Also can't discount Sick Boy's theory from Trainspotting: "at one point you've got it, then you lose it, and it's gone forever - all walks of life."
Sometimes it's injuries, sometimes not (see the case of Gomez, S.)
@perreaux@brendanshowbiz Meh. They only have one young D that I would qualify as excellent, they have some top-6 forwards on the way. It's not like you can't trade for an elite-ish top pair defenceman or two at modest cost when the cap dead wood goes away (see Boston, Carolina, VGK, NJD, EDM, etc.)
@AndrewBerkshire@MarcPDumont Fair enough, most fun since 76 then. But Hutson does Datsyuk-ian puck carrying stuff PK could only dream of (and would put Michel Therrien in the hospital)
@MarcPDumont Problem's on the other side of the ice, imo. Barron can't win a battle in his own end and Savard, well, he's been un-good to the point where you wonder if he's hurt or something. What they need is Reinbacher.
Lane Hutson, in game 4 of his NHL career, is causing veteran guys to hesitate before getting too close to him - unpredictability is terrifying to the NHL defender even if the other guy is just wee
