6 years ago on mat leave I applied to college. It was tough, then a competitive interview process to get into my top uni choice. I've given 100% with one day absent, no extensions and family health issues. Today, it's official I got a first-class honours after 5 years of study!
A lovely day spent catching up with Uni friends. Probation year complete. Who knows what the future will hold but friendships like this are few and far between. We’ve got this guys! @laney_muir@samkerr88@FedericaScordi@StrathEDU Louise, John and Amy.
Congratulations to Torrance Primary's Marine Clean Team on winning the "Most Innovative Solution" in Keep Scotland Beautiful's national STEM the flow competition. The team also won the "Best Team Work" award at the regional competition! Well done to all involved😀
Great trip with my STEM group yesterday to the Riverside Museum. They presented to the judges and picked up another award, this one 'Best Teamwork.' Thank you for organising this fantastic event @KSBScotland
I am absolutely delighted as my class won the STEM award for 'Most Innovative Solution.' Lots of hard work paid off.
In December, I took the lead on running the whole school 'Leg it to Lapland' competition. We found out our school won, £200 of Decathlon vouchers to spend. 🤩
It is not too late for the online public vote 😊 We are then attending the Riverside Museum for a regional competition to deliver a presentation.

As a teacher who has never taught STEM before, I am incredibly proud of my P5 class. They worked hard to design this concept for the STEM the Flow competition. Please vote for them using the link in the comments. Thanks 👍

The class brain stormed ideas, voted for their favourite, chose 5 emotions and in groups created very unique emotion robots. I posted my name through the happy ones mouth on such a glorious day 🌞
@sarahbradley171 You'll do fabulous. My walls are basic just now as will be responsive to what the children need and room for their artwork.
I hope it went well.
Set up a library cosy corner with artwork the children can complete to go on display. Then a nurture nook, I still need to change the wall display to a natural background. However, I've made progress setting up my first class.
Yesterday, I graduated from Strathclyde with a first class honours. It was a day of mixed emotions after losing my mum less than 3 weeks earlier. I couldn't have got through it without the support of my family and close uni friends. My husband then treated my family to dinner.
