Headteacher turned T&L consultant passionate about cog sci; curriculum; equality, diversity and inclusion to ensure everyone reaches their full potential
A teacher once apologised for asking me for a new laptop.
“I feel really bad asking… but mine’s so slow it sometimes just randomly closes down.”
She thought she was asking for a laptop.
I realised she was telling me about friction.

The evidence for Repeated Readings is very strong. But no one talks about it, because it’s a bit boring and you can’t make money off it. You can’t sell a repeated reading program, as it can be done with almost any text and requires little expertise.
It was lovely to see how our parishioners who took their first holy communion on Saturday are now attending the full Mass. We will miss you at Children’s Liturgy. #eucharist#sacrament
@SENDMattersUK@Counsell_C@jeffreykboakye didn’t disappoint at the #PTIsymp today. My colleagues and I came away inspired and challenged. I loved meeting these three people who continue to shape my thinking on curriculum and ED&I. Thank you!
@Headteacherchat I did exactly this 5 years ago and took a pay cut. Had an incredible experience and learnt a lot. Worked my way back up and am now in headship. For me it was about being humble and being aligned to the schools values and drivers. I say- go for it!
Never in all my years doing New Reception Family Meetings have I ever had such a high turn out as we did today at @hrsaprimary - a representative from EVERY family! This means so much to us. We’re going to do great things together throughout your child’s time at Holy Rosary

@RogersHistory In primary, schemes and booklets (@fairhurst_katy) can include time for planned creative opportunities: knitting Anglo Saxon clothes, building Roman cities with blocks, creating post and lintel Greek architecture… to name a few examples.
We are delighted to welcome Lucy Rundle (pictured) as the new headteacher of Holy Rosary and St Anne's Primary School. We look forward to the school's next stage of development under her leadership. We also thank Liz McDonagh Smith for her years of service to the school.
“She was a brave and humble leader who designed and implemented an inclusive all-through curriculum where all students know and remember powerful knowledge. She went on to support other Dixons primaries to do the same”
It’s the end of an era. Thank you @DixonsAcademies
@emmareaad@DixonsTC@DixonsTC loved hosting you all. The students and staff got a lot out of the sessions. We look forward to continuing to work together in the future!
Brilliant time teaching @DixonsTC@mrslucyrundle a few weeks back! As part of our final degree module at NSCD, we had the pleasure of teaching dance sessions to the Y5s and Y6s at Dixons. They dove straight into the creativity, soaked it all up and were just a joy. 🤩👍🏻
