Being named an Exemplary High Performing National Blue Ribbon School was some great news to receive today! This is certainly one of our proudest moments. #RespectTheHill
@AlabamaFTBL Brodie (named after Brodie Croyle) is warming up for the game today. He said “put me in Coach Saban!” He’s only 1, and already can place the ball where he wants it and fires like a cannon.

Anyone can be great when things are going great, but how are you when you’re tired, hungry, anxious, stressed, bogged down with work, facing deadlines, when life gets tough?
How we perform in these moments is the true measure of who we are.
First year at @TweetDCS_CHHS and my fifth year of teaching has come to a close. So thankful God led me to this incredible school, and even more thankful they welcomed me in with open arms. I will always show my MUSTANG PRIDE.
If we want to raise a generation of forgiving, empathetic people, then we need to SHOW kids empathy and forgiveness. We can’t TELL students that mistakes do not define them and then SHOW them the opposite. If kids constantly hear or feel that they are bad, the cycle never breaks.
Teachers could run this world. We would teach manners and kindness, give encouragement, mediate disagreements, teach necessary skills to everyone, regardless of ability or background, and do it with little to no budget. And maybe a glue gun and a sharpie.
