This week, we took time to learn about the events of 9/11 and honor the many heroes and lives lost that day. As a class, we also created a piece of art together, inspired by the countless people who used art to express their emotions and keep the memory of that day alive.

We will never forget where we were on 9/11/2001 when we heard the news. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach my 5th graders the importance of 9/11, the many heroes who we will never forget & how our country came together to help one another regardless of their differences.
I am thrilled to begin another year of teaching gifted 5th grade with my incredible teaching partner! If anyone would like to help us bring our exciting integrated projects to life, your donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!
