Jan 4: close schools b/c of threatened health system capacity, but school has always been safe.

Jan 17: health system capacity much worse and very little has been done to make schools safer...so let's reopen school.

I want kids in school, but the logic is difficult to follow.

Next year’s PDSB timetable means that with no daily prep every other week, teachers will be given no paid time to phone parents, mark student work, prepare lessons, review IEPs, collaborate with colleagues, differentiate their instruction and more. This will hurt student learning
