I can NOT lie, Connie Britton in Friday night lights is 99% of the reason I became a school counselor...mostly joking, but I really love how she participates every year in recognizing National School Counseling Week!
Reading this story for students about Dr. Mae Jemison, the first African American woman to become an astronaut and go to space. Great story to talk about how growth mindset can help us accomplish our goals and to recognize #BlackHistoryMonth
Normally I get dressed to work from home but today is Pajama Day for the end of the quarter and our final day of #TheGreatKindnessChallenge! Don’t forget to wake up, and be kind today! @_Miss_Rupert @MPEScougars

Last year I learned that when we teach students about careers we should ask, “How do you want to change the world?” So many of the responses brought happy tears to my eyes so I’m doing it again this year. I have no doubt this third grader is going to make a difference one day❤️🌎
Before we have some time off for Turkey day and Winter break @_Miss_Rupert, myself, and our tech-time teacher are collaborating for lessons about balancing our media usage! We played a kahoot with our fifth graders and I am happy to report I was #1 😎 @MPEScougars@CommonSenseEd
