The Vanquish is back in Hull. After a long break, we were pleased to welcome the ship and crew to the Hull Container Terminal. This is the cook who knows a thing or two about strong coffee.
Met Herman the other day. He is a chief officer and has been working at ports across the Humber for years. He seems to know everyone and they know him. He is one of those people who is always pleased to see you.
We visited Sheppard Nursery just outside Hull on the last day of their sale. We got a load of bedding plants for the Groveport Seafarer centre planters for very little money. Look out for pics of the results soon.
We met this Filipino seafarer at the Immingham Centre. He went to sea in order to see the world. Amazingly he was keeping that dream alive and getting ashore in almost every country he visited.
Many thanks to South Shields volunteer Ian, who drove all the way to Hull Seafarer centre with a van load of hats. We also had a quick look around Hull and stopped for lunch, of course.
The MiFi units are still proving popular. This crew only handed it back reluctantly as they were enjoying it so much. Well, they were leaving port and we wanted it for the next ship. @FlyingAngelNews@DraxPowerLtd
Today was Spring Clean time at Groveport seafarer centre. Thanks to the team of, from right, Jayne, Stephen, Tyler, Lisa and David who deep cleaned inside and out. It looks great.
We were gift packing in Immingham this week. Here we are preparing, all packed and onboard. Thanks to generous support from our friends below and all those who volunteered with us.

We are back at the Beverley Minster Christmas Tree Festival. It is open this weekend also-so all welcome. With thanks to June and Allison for setting it up.
On Sunday we said ‘thanks and goodbye’ to Chris, who was the Stella Maris member of the Goole ship visiting team. He and his wife are moving away and we wish them all the best.
The first packing of Christmas gifts for seafarers here at MtS Humber. It’s packing-ready to go-then onboard. Thanks to volunteers from Drax power and Boluda.

It was the annual MtS Humber Quiz Night at St Mary’s Barton on Saturday. Here are a couple of pics. The second shows the glorious winning Goole team. They lost on the tie break last year, so the victory was that much sweeter this year.
We took three seafarers to the centre. Two Indian, one Bangladeshi. One spoke Tamil, one Hindi and one Bangla. One was Roman Catholic, one was Muslim and one Hindu. They get along just fine!
I met Clive Naidoo, the Cape Town Chaplain, at the ICMA conference in Barcelona. Cape Town is the Humber link port. Until now I have only spoken to Clive by video call. It has been great to meet him in person.
