@AmandaMAtwell What crime is Sorsby being charged with committing?
Until he is being charged with something, any crime that an athlete committed is morally worse than what Sorsby did and the punishments should be issued as such.
@Ozzy_cobblepott@ReportBulldawg This doesn’t even make sense. There’s a first time for someone to wildly accuse a judge of taking bribes? Pretty sure that’s been done before but the I’m glad something has you feeling special. You really need the assurance.
@Ozzy_cobblepott@ReportBulldawg Yes it does mean it’s fine if the charges are dropped. They still get to play. Shit, Georgia lets them play regardless!
Good thing I don’t give a shit what “every other voice in the country” has to say! It’s not like they were with us before Sorsby.
@Ozzy_cobblepott@ReportBulldawg Yet after all he did they still found nothing to suggest he violated the integrity of the game. Which is why they didn’t even bring it up as an argument in court and instead just went with “rules are rules”
Rules set by WHO? The NCAA, the beacon of morality and righteousness?!
@TheTunnel_Texas So far, the judicial system disagrees with that. If the NCAA could’ve provided a better argument than “the rules are the rules” and couldn’t even provide a reason because that reason is so players don’t violate the integrity of the game. Which he didn’t. Straight from the NCAA.
@TheTunnel_Texas Yeah, I probably would. I literally just advocated for the Iowa State player and said that he should still be playing. This is about the NCAA picking and choosing when to enforce their bogus rules.
But let’s keep up with the hypothetical would you/won’t you BS
@TheTunnel_Texas It’s apparent that the rules that were written decades ago no longer align with the corporate gambling sponsored world we live in and that the NCAA doesn’t know what to do because they’re sucking the tit of those companies while refusing to modernize their governance
@TheTunnel_Texas And he should’ve 100% been allowed to play.
The issue is the NCAA not being consistent in their punishments. Thats why the rules need to be allowed to evolve instead of them trying to punish someone solely off the argument of “the rules are the rules”.
@TheTunnel_Texas But the NCAA has come out and said that nothing he did directly influenced a game or violated the integrity of the game.
Should we respect what the NCAA has to say or not?
@TheTunnel_Texas And then somehow the NCAA turns a blind eye towards the criminal, but the one who hasn’t broken any laws gets crucified?
See the issue here?
