@Optimistic_Ade This is half truth. Was Kwara the only state in this situation. Why did many states like Kwara need bailout funds from the FG? If the naira was not devalued do you think this government could have met up with it's obligations?
@deliciouzvoice@Farmexecutive 'Might be a good Medical Practitioner '?. I don't get how your submission relates to my comment. I replied to his comment that this will be more of tribal than policies and I made my opinion known. You can counter it with yours rather than spilling personal infos.
Today, at the Secretariat Headquarters of our great party, the PDP in Ilorin, we formally unveiled our gubernatorial Candidate, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu.
This followed a series of meetings, consultations, and extensive discussions held day and night among myself, Prof. Ali Ahmad, Barr. Sheni Ibiwo, SAN, Alhaji Ladi Hassan, and Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu.
Following the opportunity given to us by the leader of our party, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, to collectively choose a candidate among ourselves, we reached a resolution earlier today and unanimously presented Engr. Kale Kawu as the consensus candidate.
This decision reflects our collective will, and we remain committed to working together as one united family to deliver the choice of our party and the good people of Kwara State.
I am pleased to announce that, after extensive consultations with stakeholders of the Kwara PDP and our leading gubernatorial aspirants, we have arrived at a consensus candidate to fly the flag of our great party in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.
That candidate is Engr. Kale Kawu.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the other aspirants who, in the supreme interest of our party and state, have graciously stepped down to support this consensus. It is this spirit of unity and selflessness that will carry us to victory.
I wish all our members, delegates, and teeming supporters a successful, peaceful, and orderly outing at tomorrow’s gubernatorial primaries.
Earlier today in Abuja, I joined fellow aspirants at the residence of our leader, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, for Juma’at prayers and lunch.
Our party remains united, strong, and indivisible.
This afternoon, alongside fellow PDP Kwara gubernatorial aspirants, I joined our leader, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, for Jumu’ah prayers.
It is always a pleasure being around the leader of our great party.
Friday, May 15: Gunmen attacked three schools in Orire LGA, Oyo State, and abducted dozens of students and 7 teachers.
Monday, May 18: A video of teacher Michael Oyedokun pleading for help circulated. He was murdered shortly after.
Tuesday, May 19: Two CRIN staff at Idi-Ayunre, Ibadan, were abducted by six armed men—the same Cocoa Research Institute where farmers were taken in March.
All of this, in a matter of days, in one state. This is heartbreaking. It is painful. And it should concern every one of us.
Innocent people, including young children, children who should be at home with their parents, are being held captive. The severity of the situation cannot be overstated.
I extend my sincere condolences to the family of Michael Oyedokun and to all those who have been affected by these tragic incidents. My thoughts and prayers are with them, and with every family anxiously waiting for the safe return of their loved ones.
I urge the Federal Government and our security agencies to act with urgency and deploy every available resource to secure the release of all those still in captivity. Those responsible for these cruel and senseless acts must be found and brought to justice.
May Almighty Allah heal our land.
