Maulana Farooq Khan, one of the greatest scholars of our time is no more. He was a mufassir & also translated Quran in Hindi & Urdu. His Kalam-e-Nubuwat (7 volume book on Hadith) is unmatched.

Renowned Indian Islamic scholar Maulana Rabey Hasani Nadwi, the President of All India Muslim Personal Law Board and Head of historic Nadwatul Ulama Lucknow, died today. May Allah award him maghfirat and highest station in Paradise. Ameen.
H.E.H Asaf Jah VIII, the titular Nizam of Hyderabad & Berar, Mukarram Jah Bahadur (grandson of Hyderabad's last Nizam Osman Ali Khan) passed away last night in Istanbul.
Following his final wishes he will be buried in Hyderabad.

Funeral procession of Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, Islam's most self-sacrificing Patriot in Jerusalem, Palestine who died on this day 92-yrs ago.
He fought for India's freedom from British colonial rule. He died in London & was honoured to be buried in Masjid al-Aqsa, Palestine.
It's a series of firsts for UP-based Sania Mirza, daughter of a TV mechanic from Mirzapur, who has been selected to become a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force (IAF). With this, she has become the country's first Muslim girl fighter pilot and the UP state's first IAF pilot.
Padma Shri Irshad Mirza, chairman of Mirza International, passed away on Sunday at a private hospital in the Kanpur city. He was 95, and had been ailing for the past several years.

Another lofty pillar of the community no more: Dr M. Nejatullah Siddiqi (born 1931, Gorakhpur) died in US where he had been living with his children. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajioon. A great, path-breaking scholar of Islamic economics, he was a recipient of King Faisal Prize.
Remembering the great martyr Tipu Sultan on his birth anniversary today (10 November 1750 - 4 May 1799).

Delhi-based well-known scribe, author Rizwanullah Faruqi died on Saturday morning. A resident of Okhla's Abul Fazal Enclave even in his old age was engrossed in writing. It was just last month when his new book had hit the shelves.
He was laid to rest in Shaheen Bagh graveyard.
