I predicted this merely 4 days after Valko was retracted.

Unless they release a substantial update that reinstates Valko and introduces a new UI mirroring the Light-Trio’s branch story, “Prologue To Tomorrow”, I fear this marks the beginning of a retcon. With no corresponding section for the Dark-Trio’s story updates, I’m increasingly concerned that the narrative will be left permanently fragmented.

Every branch is part of the core narrative, and therefore part of the canon story. These are not inconsequential side stories that can simply be discarded without consequence. If Valko is ultimately not released, it will directly affect Caleb’s “Timelock Event” story and future Main Story development in a detrimental manner.

This is also compounded by the inaccurate in-game translations that have persisted for quite some time. When the narrative itself is already being handled inconsistently, mistranslation only makes an already fractured experience even more difficult for players to follow.

Let this serve as a lesson to every gaming company: this is what happens when a corporation caters to a loud minority of non-gamers on social media and within it’s fandom community, while continuing to disregard and disrespect the core players who actually support and engage with the game.

𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗼 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
