A trailblazing singer, actress, and civil rights advocate, Horne broke barriers in Hollywood, refused to perform for segregated military audiences during WWII, and marched for justice in 1963.

After overcoming childhood polio, Rudolph became the first American woman to win three gold medals at a single Olympic Games and later used her platform to advocate for equality.
