Vacancies signs aren’t telling the whole story - there is in actuality low vacancy in retail in Boston (for example, 2% in Back Bay) because deals are happening behind the scenes and many spaces are waiting on permitting according to Whitney Gallivan of @bradvisors
While the market is still strong, Kevin Brawley of @Colliers says that larger industrial tenants in MA have put new deals on pause for three months while internal analysis on demand can be completed. Hopefully those deals will come back showing the need is still there.
