From the General Council of Social Work, we would like to convey our sincere condolences to all the people and families affected, we deeply regret the pain and loss. Because, moreover, in Spain we unfortunately know firsthand the effects of such disasters after the recent devastating passage of the DANA by numerous municipalities of Valencia, Malaga, Albacete and Cuenca.
The solidarity of Spanish social workers is stronger than ever, and we put ourselves at the disposal of the National Association of Social Workers, California Chapter to offer the knowledge and experience of the General Council of Social Work organized and systematized through the GEIES (Grupo Estatal de Intervención en Emergencias Sociales) to collaborate in the reconstruction of the lives of individuals and families, accompanying the North American social worker colleagues who require it.
