Yes that’s what I needed — I spent way too much time either not doing work or doing it in my head and then having to remember to do it outside of my head later. I was also mostly solo…

Now I can ask lots of humans to drop files into a basecamp folder and let the robots sort and tag and remind — so when I have time to do the human part, I have quite the to-do list waiting for me!

I do have robots that work each day on things that I used to do by hand, but those were menial tasks anyhow. My brain and hands don’t need to click into a database to retrieve the latest daily update.

My brain and hands should help craft what the latest update means in a larger context.

I have other projects where I want to explore my robots talking to each other and presenting me with stuff, but for this Basecamp focus I am ingesting lots of data that needs organization I have already built the structure for — human not needed until it hits my desk for the next steps.

I used robots to take a file received by a human in Basecamp, store it in R2 storage at @Cloudflare , assign IDs to it in BC and CF, make a triage card for it in Basecamp, then follow my instructions with some edits/approvals to turn the file into an action alert for humans on a public WWW — and then the robots went back and marked the card DONE in @basecamp.

I just go straight to triage as the first spot and then done when done. I don’t use “not now” and could probably eliminate it.

@alkaidy2025 @jasonfried Sure. But in my case, I want the human step to be after the card is made and before the card is marked done.

Robots can both make the card and the requisite IDs for usage over time and then also mark the card done once I have completed my crucial part in between.
