San Jose police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found shot early Sunday morning near Bonita Avenue and Sunny Court. Officers responded around 1:20 a.m. and located the victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. She was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. A person of interest was arrested nearby. A CHP motorcycle was struck by a Hyundai Ioniq 5 on the right shoulder of eastbound I-80 at 7:42 a.m. Sunday. Moments before the crash, the CHP officer was able to run to safety and was not injured.
