The Rashtriya Suraksha Protsahan Yojna, an initiative of the Hon’ble Governor of Assam, was marked today at Tezpur University with a vibrant programme bringing together NCC cadets, alumni, institutional partners and senior leadership from the Armed Forces and NCC.

The Hon’ble Governor of Assam visited Tezpur University and witnessed the enthusiasm and commitment of the NCC fraternity. Cadets of Tezpur Group NCC presented a cultural programme and showcased the spirit of youth, patriotism and national service.

The cadets also presented a specially prepared movie highlighting the role of NCC in the Rashtriya Suraksha Protsahan Yojna, demonstrating how the initiative seeks to build awareness, responsibility and preparedness among young citizens.

A special highlight was the felicitation of NCC alumni, celebrating their enduring association with the Corps. Among those felicitated were two distinguished senior citizens who had themselves been NCC cadets in 1955—a remarkable testament to the lasting legacy of the NCC.

The Hon’ble Governor also presented Appreciation Certificates to ANOs and cadets who performed exceptionally under the Yojna, recognising their dedication and contribution. An interaction over Tea with NCC Alumni provided an opportunity to celebrate shared memories and the enduring bond with the Corps.

The programme also featured a spirited performance by the NCC Girls Band. Information stalls enabled interaction with various State and Government agencies, highlighting opportunities for greater awareness and collaboration.

12 Assam NCC Battalion, Golaghat, under the aegis of NCC GP HQ Jorhat, conducted an awareness programme on “Environmental Protection and Our Responsibilities as Cadets and Responsible Citizens” at Engineering College, Golaghat, under the Rashtriya Suraksha Protsahan Yojana.

The programme witnessed the participation of 51 SD, 44 SW, 02 NCC PI Staff, along with 09 civilian staff of Engineering College, Golaghat.🌱

The session was enriched by insightful contributions from Dr Rupanjali Nath, Principal, Engineering College, Golaghat; Dr Pranab Barman, Senior Professor; and Asst Prof ANO Sidharth. The speakers highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship, responsible citizenship and the role of NCC cadets in building a cleaner, greener and sustainable future.

Brig Karnail Singh, Group Commander, NCC Group Jorhat and Trg Offr of Group visited Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Jorhat as part of the Adm Inspection of 51 AS Air (T) Sqn NCC.
He reviewed the class conducted by ANO on Communication Skills, interacted with and addressed the cadets. He further Inaugurated the School Information & Skill Notice Board prepared by students and NCC cadets. Certificates were also presented by him to meritorious NCC cadets in recognition of their outstanding performance and dedication. The visit motivated cadets to strive for excellence, develop leadership skills and uphold the NCC values of Unity and Discipline.

Brig NC Khuman, Gp Cdr, NCC Group Guwahati visited the ongoing CATC - 134 being conducted by 30 Assam Bn NCC at Narangi Cantt, Guwahati.

After reviewing the administrative set up and trg module of the Camp Gp Cdr motivated the Cdts to lead a purpose driven life. He emphasised that being talented is not enough and one needs to work hard with decipline to reach their goals. He also witnessed firing at the range.

12 Assam NCC Battalion, Golaghat, under the aegis of NCC GP HQ Jorhat, conducted an awareness programme on TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan at Commerce College, Golaghat, on 08 Sep 2026.

The event witnessed the participation of the Principal, Commerce College; TB Officer, Golaghat; 06 medical staff from the TB Office; 02 NCC PI Staff; and 100 NCC Cadets. 🇮🇳🩺

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr Utpal Sarma, Principal, Commerce College, Golaghat, followed by a brief introduction by Lt Col Atong Konyak, Administrative Officer, 12 Assam NCC Battalion. The medical team from the TB Office, Golaghat District, thereafter conducted an informative awareness session, highlighting TB prevention, early detection, treatment and the collective responsibility towards a TB-free India.

#GajrajCorps conducted Army Attachment Training for nearly 450 #NCC Cadets during the Combined Annual Training Camp of #NCC Directorate North Eastern Region (NER).

The cadets gained hands on exposure to Drill, Weapon Training, Map Craft & Field Skills, Drone Handling and Rock Craft, enhancing their confidence, leadership, military awareness and field orientation.
